At the end of the summer, I became the head coach for the George Mason Mustang Cheerleading squad in Falls Church, VA!! The program was not doing the best, to say the least, and they were desperately looking for a replacement. ENTER ME! Our good friend, Terry Taylor, recommended me to the school and the Athletic Director hired me before even meeting me - based on Terry's comments :-) he he!
It's been absolutely wonderful so far, but extremely tiring and time-consuming. We had to have 3 tryouts... and all of those only provided us 5 girls! (side note - the program was so bad that there wasn't even a squad last year :-( booo) With these 5 girls, though, the response has been amazing. I'm constantly getting comments from the other coaches, parents, fans, and so on about how nice it is to see the girls back. Winter, I'm told, should provide us with a LOT more girls... so we'll see how that goes. I'll continue to add updates about my girls, but here are a few pics of them. I LOVE THEM!
Oh! and funny story... the school colors are RED, BLACK & WHITE... same as my MINI!!! Now deemed "The Mini Mustang!" he he
