Christmas was such a whirlwind this year!! You wait for it to come all year and in an instant - it's over. We had a great holiday, though :-) Bradley AND Robbie joined us in D.C. this year in our new home. We didn't get to do much, as I was still working, but tried our best to spend as much time together as we could. Robbie enjoyed exploring the city and Bradley chilled out... while burning more dvd's than I ever thought was humanly possible in a 2 week timespan! Christmas morning was a shocker - ROBBIE GOT UP BEFORE 8:30 am! ha! - and we all loved what Santa got us. Some highlights of the morning...
Then... on Christmas night... we traveled to the beautiful, snow covered state of ILLINOIS! ha! We arrived in O'Hare, picked up Jeremy's brother, Rodney, and proceeded to the great QC. RIGHT! There we had the Barton and Peterson Christmas'...
Jeremy and I returned home to D.C. on the 29th where we met back up with Robbie and Bradley - just returning from their visit at Heather's in OHIO! But the most exciting part of our holiday was soon to come... OUR POOL TABLE WOULD BE THERE IN ONE DAY!!!!!! Yes! THAT IS CORRECT!! We bought ourselves a housewarming gift in the form of a Brunswick pool table! Needless to say, we were all very excited when it arrived. Here is Jeremy and I taking our first crack at it :-)
The New Year came and we spent most of the night playing pool. We then decided to watch a horror movie, carrying on Boo and Brad's tradition!! Shortly before midnight, we all gathered up our wine glasses of pop and toasted in the new year... 5 minutes later we were back to our movie :-) he he. Maybe one year we'll do something more exciting... I've always loved being at home, though. New Years day arrived and Robbie and Bradley were on their way home to NC (BOOO!! sniff, sniff!) and it was a sad goodbye. I MISS THEM!! Then the last trip on our holiday break was to the ABBOTT'S in OHIO!!!! Jeremy and I left about 10 minutes after the boys for our 6 hour drive to the buckeye state. AND I STAYED AWAKE THE WHOLE WAY THERE AND BACK!! YES, I DID!! Mom was there, too, for Doodle's birthday and an eventful weekend was had. We had our Christmas, did some shopping, played some cards, celebrated Doodle's 6th birthday and learned how to play Guitar Hero. It was a fun time and we were sad to go. Here are some of our Abbott Highlights!...
Now we're back in DC and it's already busy. I'm back to coaching cheerleading (mid-way through the winter season) and Jeremy is preparing for the Inauguaration... IT'S GOING TO BE INSANE!! But we're glad to be home. We hope you all had a terrific holiday and have a happy new year! WE LOVE YOU!
