Motorcycle Accident - Boooo!

So as many have heard, Jeremy and I were in a motorcycle accident this past Saturday in Springfield. WE ARE BOTH FINE and thankful it wasn't more serious!! We truly know how lucky we were.

We had met our friends, Jon & Terry, for dinner and was heading out as it became dark. We were coming over a hill, where at the bottom is a 4-way stop light, and we had the green. We noticed a white minivan to our right, which was pausing to make a right hand turn on red, however instead of turning right into HER lane, she proceeded into ours. Jeremy tried as hard and quickly as he could to stop the bike, but just couldn't. The bike fishtailed and laid down on the right side. Jeremy landed on his right shoulder, breaking his collar bone, and I landed on the back right side of my head and then onto my shoulders and back. We were both conscience and talking and noticed immediately we were surrounded by about 10 individuals seeing if we were okay and 2 others chasing down the van, which had CLEARLY not seen us and didn't even know we fell behind them. We were sent to the emergency room (I had a few VERY ATTRACTIVE medics :-) with me) and we were discharged by midnight.

We found out the lady who cut us off had NO idea we were even there and had no clue she'd caused us to wreck. She was cited and unfortunately, the damage to the bike was enough to scrap it. Jeremy is quite sad, but already looking for a replacement bike! :-) I'm not so sure I'll get back on, but we'll see how that goes!

Just a few pics of us. As you can see... no significant damages!!!

MY ROAD RASH - YES, IT HURT MORE THAN MY HEAD!!!

Thank goodness you both are alright! If only everyone was as smart as you and had a helmet on. Love the new bike!
